| No. According to the Magnusson-Moss warranty act of 1974 states that aftermarket equipment that improves performance does not automatically void a vehicle manufactures original warranty unless the warranty clearly states the addition of the aftermarket equipment automatically voids your vehicle's warranty, or it can be proven that the aftermarket device is the direct cause of the failure. If further states that under the Manusson-Moss act, a dealer must prove, not just vocalize, that the aftermarket equipment caused the need for repairs before it can deny warranty coverage. If the dealer cannot prove such a claim-or it offers a questionable explanation-it is your legal right to demand compliance with the warranty. This is administered by the FTC(Federal Trade Commission) How quickly will I see results? You will see results on your very first gallon of gas. Is it Safe ? What kind of mileage should I realistically expect? That depends on a lot of things. The condition of your car has a lot to do with it. Has it been well maintained and serviced? We have had some makes and models that are the same, but some vehicles do better or worse. One V-8 F-150 Ford pickup got only a 56% increase in mileage, while another one we did went from 11 mpg highway to 33 mpg. The size or horsepower of your car seems to have a lot to do with it. Four cylinder vehicles almost always double mileage, while the bigger V-8s usually get more like a 60- 70% increase. One of our specialists did a 1998 Air stream motor home and it went from 6.8 miles per gallon to 22 mpg! There are exceptions. Of course the smaller increase means more to the bigger vehicle, because it uses twice as much gas and usually only gets half the mileage. What is better… all of a little or half of a lot? It all comes out pretty even, actually. We are absolutely guaranteeing you 30% to 50% increase in mileage, but it should double. We have had a few vehicles that even our tuning specialists just were not able to get the increase. It is very rare, and we do not fully understand why. Some vehicles have mechanical problems that would take a lot of time and money to diagnose (perhaps the on board computer needs replacing.) On the rare occasions we run into that we would rather just refund the money for the kit and accept the defeat. Of course the customer can spend the money repairing the vehicle and then achieve the mileage increase or keep the kit and put it on another vehicle. That does not mean that when the PICC is ready for that vehicle we will not be able to do a lot with the PICC. The PICC technology by/passes the computer altogether. We believe our PICC will get every personal vehicle on the road over 100 miles per gallon (even SUVs.)
If I buy another car, can I remove the HAFC and put it on another car? Sure, it is designed for all gasoline engines. The kit is designed to last as long as your car, but you may sell your car. In that case, have your mechanic remove it (or do it yourself if you are handy) and install it on your new car. We then do recommend that you would pay one of our Certified Tuning Technicians to retune it. There may be another car you have that will get more savings from the kit. It is your kit and your option. You may have multiple cars and just do one car first to decide what to do with the other one. This is all your choice. Can we install the kit on leased vehicles? That is up to the leasing contract that you signed with the leasing company. We suggest that you review that contract and determine what is says about putting after market products on the vehicle during the term of the lease. It, most likely, says nothing about this subject. If it states nothing about that, then we believe you will be fine, especially since the total HAFC system can be removed at any time. The car engine and all moving parts operate independent of the kit. When the HAFC kit is removed, the car is immediately returned to its original condition. It would be like in the old days when the horse died, you just removed the saddle and took it to the next horse. If you turn the leased vehicle back in you may want to remove the HAFC kit so you can reinstall it on your next vehicle. Why give them the benefit since they did not pay for it. In the near future, we believe, the leasing company will fight harder to prevent you from removing it at the end of the lease than penalizing you for having it. In the case of the PICC, we are working on a program whereby, if a customer commits to a PICC conversion, our lenders will refinance or possibly even buy out their lease and refinance their vehicle as long as they put the PICC on it. The idea is that it will dramatically increase the value of the vehicle, especially an SUVs or monster pick ups.
How do I get the HAFC unit installed? We will put you in contact with an authorized installer near you. We are also working on a data base of certified installers. |
